The opening of the Thrift Shop is a big event. They get lots of customers during the two hours the doors are open. They have a surprising amount of stuff. We bought wine glasses, a slotted spoon, two saucers, a dozen hangers, a small basket and a teddy bear (don't ask) for $3.25. I'm definitely going back on Saturday! I may try to volunteer to help out if I think I can manage the demanding schedule.

Part time businesses
The building that used to house the Blue Line Grocery store now is home to three little part time businesses. The Hospital Thrift Shop, The Video Store and Betsy Blue Asian Fusion Restaurant. They take turns being open two days a week for 3 hours or so. It's actually a pretty smart business model.

We bought Thai Pork Salad and an order of dumplings from Betsy Blue during their brief opening yesterday. They were delicious.
